The Punjabi Seva Samithi, Telangana, is hosting the ‘Lohri Mela’ in Hyderabad to celebrate Lohri. This year is special as it marks the 25th anniversary of the Seva Samithi. The festival of Lohri is celebrated with enthusiasm and grandeur in the city. It takes place a day before Makar Sankranti.
During Lohri, people light bonfires and offer bhog offerings made from the harvested crops. The president of Punjab Seva Samithi, Vineet Arora, explained the significance of this tradition. Delhi Caterer is organizing a food stall at the mela, offering a variety of Punjabi delicacies like Sarso Ka Saag, Makai Ki Roti, and Chole Bhature.

The Lohri mela is open to all Punjabis residing in Telangana from 6 pm onwards. Apart from enjoying the delicious food, attendees can also shop at various stalls and participate in fun-filled games.
