R-Truth doesn’t try to break other wrestlers on screen.
The veteran wrestler has been one of the best characters in the WWE in recent years. His consistently funny antics make R-Truth a must-watch character, and seeing him constantly making wrestlers like The Judgement Day corpsing on TV is a sight to behold.
However, this is never R-Truth’s intention.
Speaking with Steve Fall for Ten Count Media, R-Truth revealed that he does not try to make his opponents crack on TV. He said that it just comes naturally, although Paul Heyman did make a bet that he would make Brock Lesnar laugh on TV.
“It’s not my goal, man. I don’t try to do it. It’s one of those things that come organically. Whoever I’m on TV or stream with, it’s an organic feel, an organic laughter, an organic vibe. So, I don’t try to do it. Brock Lesnar was the only one that, you know, Paul in the back, he made the bet. I don’t know who he made the bet with, but I got a wager. I need you to make Brock laugh. But I don’t try to do it, it just happens.”
R-Truth: I’m More Over Now Than I’ve Ever Been
Speaking on WWE – Die Woche (via Post Wrestling), R-Truth spoke about his career in WWE. The tag team champion revealed his is more over than he’s ever been, despite being at the tail end of his career.
“Right now, I am more over, I’m more popular, I’m making more of an impact than I ever made in my whole career and it’s because of the quad injury so it’s because of that time being gone and coming back now, it’s all good,” he said. “I’d do it all over again.”
