R-Truth Reveals Almost Losing A Leg To Amputation During Recent Injury Hiatus

What could have been. There are all kinds of injuries and medical situations that can cause troubles in wrestling and some of them can be rather serious. This can include situations that you would never realize in the first place as they are out of sight and out of mind. Unfortunately they have to be dealt with as well, as a current WWE Superstar is now explaining.

R-Truth returned from a torn quadricep in November 2023 following a year of recovery. During an interview with Cheap Heat, R-Truth revealed that he had suffered an infection in his knee, which resulted in his knee having a hole. This was the result of five different bacteria eating his knee from the inside out. The infection took several months to heal, including a PICC line, a VAC to change the blood and a surgery. Had the infection not healed, R-Truth’s doctor had discussed amputating his leg.
