Ramayana Pics Go Viral
On Wednesday, April 3, pictures from the sets of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana went viral on social media as shooting of the Hindu epic begun. An Instagram user named Akruti Singh shared pictures from the sets on her Instagram story and fans are super excited seeing them. It is believed that Akruti is a part of the team.
The set appears to be in the construction phase, featuring numerous pillars and wooden walls, obscuring much of the view. Apart from a temple-like dome structure, little else was discernible. However, what drew everyone’s focus was “Ramayana Day 1 (sic).” The picture has sparked speculation that it is from the sets of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayana’.

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana will see Ranbir Kapoor essaying the role of Lord Ram and actress Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. Reports suggest KGF star Yash has been approached to play Ravana in the upcoming adaptation of the Hindu epic. Reports also suggest Sunny Deol will play Hanuman and Lara Dutta will play Princess Kaikey.
Reportedly, Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are in talks to play the role of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana, respectively. Some reports also claim veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has been cast as King Dashrath. However, aside from Ranbir and Sai being onboard, there have been no other official confirmations. An official announcement of the film is expected to be made on Ram Navami.
