Saif Ali Khan is all set to return to the Race franchise with its highly anticipated fourth installment, directed by Nikkhil Advani. While the other cast details have been kept under wraps, a new update have surfaced. As per latest reports, Sanam Teri Kasam fame Harshvardhan Rane was approached to play antagonist in Race 4. Clarifying the rumors, Taurani stated to Hindustan Times, “No, this is fake news. He hasn’t been roped in for the role, and nothing has been finalized yet.” When asked about additional casting details beyond Saif, he added, “No cast has been finalized as of now, so I can’t comment on any names.” A few days back, rumours were rife that Manushi Chhillar has been approached for the film. However, there has not been any development on the rumours.
About Race franchise
Since its inception in 2008 with the original ‘Race’ starring Saif and Akshaye Khanna as the embroiled siblings Ranvir and Rajiv, the franchise has become synonymous with thrilling action, lavish settings, and intricate storytelling. Saif also reprised his role in the 2013 sequel, Race 2, introducing John Abraham as the antagonist. The third instalment, Race 3 took a different direction with a new cast led by Salman Khan.
Talking about Harshvardhan Rane, the actor came to limelight after the success of Sanam Teri Kasam re-release and its success. He is currently shooting for the sequel of the film.
