The 21-year-old was seen gesturing the 2-1 scoreline with his hands as he slowly made his way off.
Douglas Luiz, who scored Villa's equaliser in the second half and had a cheeky celebration to boot, then confronted Hojlund over his actions and ushered him off.
But Hojlund showed his softer side after the final whistle in what was a wholesome moment with a young Man United fan.
Hojlund gifted his match worn shirt to the young fan who was sat in the disabled area of the Villa Park away end, much to the delight of the fan and his family.
The £73million signing has enjoyed an upturn in form in recent weeks, scoring five goals in as many Premier League appearances.
He showed his best striker's instinct on 17 minutes when he opened the scoring, tucking the ball through Emi Martinez after meeting Harry Maguire's header from a corner.
