Ravi Dubey roped in to play Lakshman alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial Ramayana

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is creating a lot of buzz in Bollywood. Despite not being officially announced yet, the excitement among the audience is immense. While it is confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor will essay the role of Lord Ram, the information about rest of the cast is doing rounds. As per recent update, popular actor Ravi Dubey will essay the role of Lord Ram’s younger brother Lakshman in Ramayana.

Ravi Dubey to play Lakshman in Ramayana?

As per a report in Etimes, Ravi Dubey has been selected to play Lakshman in Ramayana. However, there is no confirmation over these reports. The actor is a well-known name in the TV industry. He is an actor and a producer.

Ravi Dubey has been a part of TV shows like Saas Bina Sasural, and Jamai Raja. He has also appeared in multiple web series such as Matsya Kaand and Lakhan Leela Bhargava (LLB). He made his film debut in the 2019 film 3 Dev and hasn’t appeared in any film since then. If reports are indeed true, Ramayana will be the major breakthrough for the actor.

In Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will be essaying the role of Lord Ram. He will be joined by Sai Pallavi who has been roped in for the role of Goddess Sita. Notably, Sai replaced Alia Bhatt to play Goddess Sita in the film. However, she backed out due to dates-related issues. KGF star Yash is speculated to play Ravana in the movie with Sunny Deol also joining the cast to play the role of Hanuman. Apart from him, Lara Dutta has been roped in to play Kaikeyi. Additionally, Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks to play the role of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana respectively. Another update from the film is that according to some reports, Amitabh Bachchan has been cast as King Dashrath.
