With two wins and as many draws, Real Madrid’s start to the season has been timid so far. Tonight, the Merengue travel to Real Sociedad’s pitch (a match to follow live with commentary from 9pm on French Football Weekly) with the firm intention of winning in order to get closer to Villareal and Barcelona. As for the Basques, they should finally get their season underway.

Imanol Alguacil has concocted a 4-4-2. We find a good knowledge of Ligue 1 in the presence of Aguerd in central defense. Zubimendi will animate the heart of the game while the firefool Kubo is present and will share the front of the attack with Sadiq. For his part, Carlo Ancelotti is counting on a 4-3-3 in which Mbappé is at the forefront and who will be supported on the wings by Brahim Diaz and Vinicius Jr. The Turkish nugget Arda Güler is present in midfield. Injured for the international break, Ferland Mendy starts in the starting eleven.

The official compositions:

Real Sociedad: Remiro – Aramburu, Zubeldia, Aguerd, Lopez – Becker, Sucic, Zubimendi, Gomez – Kubo, Sadiq

Real Madrid : Courtois – Carvajal, Militao, Rüdiger, Mendy – Güler, Modric, Valverde – Diaz, Mbappé, Vinicius Jr
