Hello Everyone! Welcome to the Honor club. This Thursday we had a tv title match, between the ROH Women’s World Television Champion Red Velvet and Top Flight, Leila Grey. Plus, we have Queen Aminata in action against former TNA Knockouts Champion, Allysin Kay.
First we had Queen Aminata in action versus Allysin Kay. The Hex member was already in the ring with her pinky up as Queen Aminata made her entrance in a colorful neon ensemble.
Highlights of the match included a painful looking running kick to the face of Kay for a near fall and a headbutt to finish the match, allowing the Queen to keep her winning streak (5) in ROH.
Allysin Kay did an amazing job receiving the Queen’s offense, but in typical ROH fashion, the match did not last very long.
They also announced that the minion overlord and forever ROH champion Athena will be back next week returning from her world tour.
Moving on to the main event, Leila Grey in her breakout year so far, made her way to the ring first in a black fur piece, ready for her biggest match in ROH yet. While Velvet came down wearing her signature red, ready to stir it up!
The former baddies shaked hands and had a great competitive match, trading locks and chops on the inside and the outside of the ring.
Grey looked strong as ever, even winning the crowd over with some chants in her favor.Regardless, Red Velvet was able to retain her ROH TV title with her sommersault cutter.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but i think this was so far Leila’s best showing in ROH, I was happy they gave her this opportunity to showcase herself. Both did a good job. I would love to see an actual rivalry between the two of them in the future.
