Ben Affleck reportedly has his sights set on playing Hulk Hogan.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that a screenplay based on the Hulk Hogan versus Gawker court case has been picking up steam in Hollywood, and it is set to move forward. Per Johnson, the film, titled KILLING GAWKER, is in the works with Matt Damon and Ben Afflect’s Artist Equity, with January 2025 being eyed as the start date for production.

Furthermore, Johnson writes that there is talk that Affleck and Damon would eye playing Hogan and Peter Thiel, respectively.

The screenplay is written by Charles Randolph. It is based on Ryan Holiday’s book, Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and the Anatomy of Intrigue, which detailed Hogan’s lawsuit against Gawker for publishing a sex tape that had been leaked. Hogan ultimately won the lawsuit, and Gawker shut down.

Chris Hemsworth has previously been attached to a Hulk Hogan biopic. However, that project has stalled for the time being.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.

Hulk Hogan On Donald Trump

Meanwhile, Hogan endorsed fellow WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump for president. He recently commented on his mindset while speaking with FOX News. Hogan stated that he got tired of staying silent. He them said that he had to step up. Hogan also noted that he had to be a “real” American.

“I got tired of remaining silent,” Hulk Hogan said. “I sat back and watched the borders collapse, I watched the economy collapse, I watched the price of gas, the price of food. Everything just does an upside-down flip.

“And when they took a shot at my hero, Donald Trump, I realized that I couldn’t be silent anymore. I had to step up. I had to be a real American, just like all these real Americans here and Donald Trump. You know, I have a voice, too, and I want people to know. It’s time to talk, it’s time not to be silent anymore.”

Plus, Hogan previously said he had a guaranteed contract in 1984.
