Christopher Daniels‘ in-ring career is coming to an end.

Daniels faced “Hangman” Adam Page in a Texas Death Match at the AEW Collision: Maximum Carnage taping on January 16th. According to a new report, he is likely retiring.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Christopher Daniels has effectively retired from in-ring competition, as his bout with Page was supposed to be his last match. Per Sapp, Daniels had been looking to have his last match and retire for “quite some time.”

Christopher Daniels, 54, has been with AEW since the company launched, and he works as their head of Talent Relations. He recently had a run as an interim on-screen EVP while Kenny Omega was sidelined. Daniels has had prominent stints in TNA and ROH. He has also wrestled for WWF, WCW, AAA, NJPW, and various other promotions.

Christopher Daniels is a former ROH World Champion, World Television Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and World Six-Man Tag Team Champion. He was ROH’s first Grand Slam Champion.
