A new report provides more information about the frustration within WWE‘s women’s division.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that numerous talent have echoed some frustrations recently. Sapp cites sources from the WWE women’s division who highlighted the lack of focus on developing contenders, the tag team division, and the screen time for women outside the top stars as some issues. NXT was used as a comparison, as women from the main roster stated that they could see how much screen time and focus this group gets.
Sources also pointed to “redundant storylines”, as it was noted that the same talent were featured both at the top of the card and in the mid-card title scene as well. These sources noted that they were happy for those who were getting that screen time. However, they wanted other people to get more time as well.
Furthermore, Sapp cites sources who brought up Sonya Deville effectively being released while negotiating a new deal as a situation that did not instill confidence for talent when they weren’t being used by WWE.
Additionally, Sapp writes that several talent who asked about creative plans were asked to be patient, and they were told that their time would be coming.
