A new report provides an update on Rhea Ripley’s injury.

On the April 15 episode of WWE RAW, Rhea Ripley confirmed that she was injured, and she relinquished the Women’s World Championship. She did not provide details about the injury, and WWE did not share any additional information either.

She (Rhea Ripley) suffered an AC Joint sprain in the brawl with Liv Morgan last week on RAW, she was thrown into the wall, and boom. There goes the shoulder, and an injury like that probably 4-6 weeks to gain mobility and then 3 months to be back in action.”

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez stated that Ripley is dealing with a sprained AC joint. He noted that the injury occurred during Ripley’s brawl with Liv Morgan on the April 8 episode of WWE RAW.

In his subscriber-exclusive Raw report, Alvarez noted that the injury was a fluke, as it happened when Morgan threw Ripley into a wall. He wrote that it typically takes four-to-six weeks to regain mobility and up to three months to fully recover. (H/t Joseph Currier of F4WOnline.com)

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
