MLW has signed a former champion to a contract extension, according to a new report.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that AKIRA has agreed to a long-term deal with Major League Wrestling. His deal was initially set to expire at the end of 2024, but Sapp writes that he has extended his contract for another two years.
AKIRA signed with MLW in January 2023 and has been prominently featured with the company. He previously joined forces with Raven and Rickey Shane Page to form The Calling. AKIRA is a former MLW World Tag Team Champion and World Middleweight Champion. He has also wrested in Bloodsport, CMLL, and GCW, among other promotions.
