A new report provides an update on Killswitch and Skye Blue, who have been sidelined in recent months.
All Elite Talk’s Shane D recently spoke with Killswitch and Blue at the Toyhio show and claimed that both said they were cleared to return.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that those familiar with their status say that they both are “close”, but they noted that being cleared by their doctors and being cleared by AEW medical were two different things. Per Sapp, AEW had operated under the assumption that they wouldn’t get Blue back until the spring. Sapp writes that Blue was pushing for a quick recovery and return. It was noted that the timetable for Killswitch/Luchasaurus was more of a “TBD” situation, given the nature of his illness.
Blue broke her ankle during a July 2024 episode of AEW Collision, in a match against Hikaru Shida, and has been recovering ever since. She did travel to Australia with the company to support Kyle Fletcher (her real-life partner) at Grand Slam. Killswitch was hospitalized last fall with pneumonia in both of his lungs, and is still recovering.
