A former champion’s NJPW contract is reportedly coming up.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Drilla Moloney‘s contract is set to expire soon. Moloney is a former two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. Per Sapp, there has been “outside interest” in Moloney, but it’s unclear where it’s from.
Moloney recently wrestled throughout the NJPW Road to Tokyo Dome tour in late December. He also competed in the Super Junior Tag League. Moloney and Clark Connors are set to challenge for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4.
Before he joined NJPW, Moloney wrestled on NXT UK from 2017-2021. He has also wrestled for RevPro and PROGRESS, among other companies.
