Baron Corbin, now free to pursue new opportunities after his WWE departure, is reportedly in discussions with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, NJPW has expressed interest in Tom Pestock, formerly known as Baron Corbin, with the two sides already in contact. While details remain scarce, this could mark a significant step in Corbin’s post-WWE career.

Corbin previously confirmed on Twitter that his WWE contract was not renewed, officially making him a free agent. “I’m officially no longer under contract since I was not fired,” Corbin shared. “I was told they were not extending. So if you’re making a horror movie, let me know ha ha ha ha. New year, no contract, let’s see what we can create.”

Having visited friends at AEW Worlds End and with his 90-day non-compete clause expired, Corbin’s options are wide open. NJPW’s interest comes at a time when the promotion is considering new talent as it approaches a period of contract changes within its roster. Corbin’s gritty persona and in-ring versatility could bring a fresh element to New Japan’s competitive lineup.

As the talks unfold, fans are left speculating on Corbin’s next chapter. Whether it’s NJPW, another wrestling promotion, or a move into entertainment, one thing is clear: Corbin is ready to explore new possibilities and create something memorable.
