Rey Mysterio wants to see a WWE event held at The Sphere in Las Vegas.
UFC recently held their UFC Noche event at the revolutionary venue in Las Vegas. It was a rousing success, using the giant 360-degree screen to their full advantage during the iconic show.
The success of the event has made many consider whether or not a wrestling event is possible in the Sphere. One of them is Rey Mysterio, who wants the WWE to run Raw or Smackdown in Las Vegas and utilise the revolutionary technology in the venue.
Rey Mysterio spoke to Adrian Hernandez and was asked about WWE potentially running a show at The Sphere in Las Vegas. He spoke about how he was amazed when he went to UFC Noche art the venue. Mysterio immediately thought of how WWE could hold an event there. Rey Mysterio added that logistically it would work. He wants to see a Raw or Smackdown show happen there.
“When I heard that Dana had picked that place out and it was a one-night show, just the one time and then gone, I thought, ‘Wow.’ When I walked into that place on UFC Noche, I was like, ‘Wow.’ The first thing I imagined was, ‘Imagine a WWE event here.’” Rey Mysterio said.
“The logistics? You can definitely make it work. There’s no way you won’t make it work, just like they made it work. So, I’m really hoping that one day we put on a Raw, a SmackDown, or whatever they want to do there. I think it’s worth it.” Rey Mysterio added.
