Rey Mysterio is ready to insert himself into one of the biggest feuds in food-eating history.

During WWE RAW, it was confirmed that Mysterio would be involved in Netflix’s Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef. This is a live sports event in which both legendary competitive eaters will finally face off.

The event will take place live on Netflix on Monday, September 2, 2024, at 12 p.m. PT. Two undercard matches will take place before the main event. These bouts feature 2015 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest winner Matt Stonie and Guinness World Record holder Leah Shutkever.

Mysterio won’t be the only WWE superstar involved in the production, with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia co-hosting the event alongside actor and comedian Rob Riggle. Omos will also be involved in some capacity for the event, although it’s unclear exactly what he and Mysterio’s roles will be.

Netflix provided more details about the undercard of the broadcast. Cari Champion and Chris Rose will call the event alongside Riggle and Garcia.
