Rhea Ripley has emerged from the dark shadows into the spotlight of superstardom. Her intimidating style, physical stature, and dominance have often drawn comparisons to WWE Hall of Famer, Chyna. However, Mami believes that it was all organic and not a point of conversation.
During a recent conversation with Cameron Hawkins of The Ringer, Rhea Ripley disclosed that WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H has a thing of mentioning Rhea in the same conversation as the late great Chyna.
However, the current WWE Women’s World champion did point out that the iconic comparison was something that happened naturally and not due to a sit-down talk with The Game.
“Hunter definitely likes to put me next to Chyna. We didn’t actually have like a sitdown conversation about how my career would pan out. We sort of just let it all grow, in a way, naturally.”
The Ninth Wonder of the World was a trailblazer in her own right. During the 1990s, she paved the way for women and got tremendous opportunities that were not handed to female talent. Moreover, Chyna was never afraid to throw hands with the men’s roster, something Rhea Ripley has adopted in her career as well.
WWE’s resident Mami has been on spectacular run as champion since winning the Women’s title last year at WrestleMania, defeating the 14-time champion Charlotte Flair. With the same road approaching yet again that she conquered, it would be interesting to see who steps up to Rhea Ripley as she looks to defend her title in a major match at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
