The Mami of Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley’s ride in WWE has been a rollercoaster of triumphs and trials, solidifying her status as one of the company’s premier female athletes. But in the end, The Eradicator is also human, and enduring injuries in the business is a part that has now brought her dominant reign as champion to its conclusion.
At WrestleMania 40, Rhea Ripley clinched a hard-fought victory over Becky Lynch and extender her run as the WWE Women’s World Champion further. However, her celebration was short-lived as her former rival Liv Morgan assaulted her backstage the next night with some reports emerging that Ripley had sustained an injury and would possibly have to vacate the title.
Rhea Ripley walked into tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW, emanating from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to shed light on the situation, sporting a sling on her right arm. Mami wasted no time in revealing that she had been asked to vacate her title and had to be benched for a few months, with her anger being on full display.
Citing that the WWE Women’s World title meant everything to her, Rhea Ripley with a heavy heart laid down the championship in the middle of the ring. She then addressed Liv Morgan, calling her out for the attack that led to this moment. Morgan, evidently laughing at Rhea’s misery then made her way to the ring, with security trying to stop both women as the segment concluded with Ripley knocking down a security guard and leaving RAW to go on the road to recovery.
