The February 25 episode of WWE NXT in Cincinnati, Ohio was quite a show. Whether some fans realize it or not, history was also made with the in-ring debut of Ricky Saints for the brand.

Ricky Starks showed up in NXT and declared his new name of Ricky Saints after signing his NXT contract, but his intentions are the same. He wants to hold the NXT Title, and he got started this week in a tag team match.

This week’s episode of WWE NXT closed out with the big tag team match. Ricky Saints teamed up with Je’Von Evans to take on Wes Lee and Ethan Page. In recent weeks, All Ego has been feuding with Evans, and the two absolutely hate each other at this point.

Once Ricky Saints got the tag, he came in very hot with the crowd fully behind him. It didn’t take very long for Evans and Saints to take control of this match as they cut to commercial break.

Fans chanted “we want Ricky” as the match carried on with Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page. Then Saints took the hot tag and he got right to work. Saints worked around the ring to dismantle his opponents with one move after another, and fans were all behind him.

Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page ended up brawling through the crowd, which left Ricky Saints alone with Wes Lee. In the end, Saints was able to fight off his opponent and close out the match by catching Lee and hitting a Roshambo for the win. This was a big win for Ricky Saints, as he won the match for his team.

We will have to see what the road holds for Ricky Saints in NXT. He is certainly off to a big start, and the NXT fans are on his side in a big way at this point.
