Ricochet has unfinished business in NJPW.

Ricochet previously had a successful run in NJPW. He has held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship three times. He also won the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, among other accolades. Ricochet recently signed with AEW, and their working relationship with NJPW could open the door for a potential return.

Speaking with Tim Battle and Eli on the Battleground Podcast, Ricochet was asked whether he had any interest in competing in the NJPW G1 Climax.

“Yeah, absolutely,” he said. “I already won the Best of the Super Juniors, so I feel like now I should upgrade my goals to the G1, for sure. There’s still a lot of things in New Japan that I didn’t get to accomplish that I still plan on accomplishing.”

Ricochet On The Independent Scene

Ricochet was also asked whether there were any promotions he wanted to work with on the independent scene.

“I mean, there’s a lot out there that I’ve been watching,” he said. “Obviously, you’ve got your GCWs, even NWA was making a comeback there for a second. There’s a lot of companies out there. Really, it’s more about which one really makes me want to feel something. All of them are good, and all of them are options.

“Now it’s just finding when and where and how and what and why, more than anything, because it’s been so long. So now I just gotta get back into the swing of those things, deciding where and when.”
