Robert Downey Jr. Land Emmy Nomination Following Oscar Win; Jodie Foster Among Former Oscar Winners Also In The Mix

Robert Downey Jr. landed an Emmy nomination this morning, hot on the heels of his Oscar win for Oppenheimer. While Poor Things Oscar winner Emma Stone was also expected to be nominated this morning for her turn on Showtime’s The Curse, she wound up being snubbed.

Coming off his first Oscar win for his turn in Christopher Nolan’s historical epic, Downey was recognized today for his multiple-character performance in HBO’s The Sympathizer. Receiving his first Primetime Emmy nomination all the way back in 2001, for a supporting turn on Ally McBeal, he’s also the winner of a Daytime Emmy, having been recognized as the exec producer of Outstanding Lifestyle Program Downey’s Dream Cars earlier this year.
