Al-Nassr arrived in China with a slightly injured Cristiano Ronaldo and the two friendly matches scheduled in Shenzen were canceled. The five-time Ballon d’Or apologized at length during a press conference.

Before facing Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami on February 1 in Riyadh, Al-Nassr had scheduled two friendly matches in China, Wednesday and Sunday, against Shanghai Shenhua and Zhejiang. Cristiano Ronaldo arrived injured in Shenzhen and the organizer simply canceled both matches!

“I want to apologize to the Chinese fans. I know everyone must be disappointed because I’m disappointed too. It’s a sad day. I want to say sorry to the Chinese fans, but some situations are not controllable”launched “CR7” during a press conference organized for the occasion.

Ronaldo, under contract with the Saudi club until June 2025, promised to return with his team to play in front of the Chinese public. Even adding: “China is my second home, I will be back soon”.
