Ronaldo or Messi, Hazard’s strong choice!

Eden Hazard was asked to choose between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and the former Belgium captain clearly gave his preference to the Argentine number 10.

Real Madrid fans will remember it for a long time. A year after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo for Juventus, Casa Blanca will have spent more than 100 million euros to bring in Eden Hazard, at the request of Zinédine Zidane. The Chelsea star winger then recovered the number 7 of the five-time Ballon d’Or (Mariano Diaz had worn it for one season).

Despite his (failed) time at Casa Blanca, Hazard is obviously a fan of Lionel Messi. The young retiree was invited, in John Obi Mikel’s podcast, to choose the “Goat” between the two idols: “For me, it’s Messi. People have different opinions. Ronaldo is an incredible goalscorer, but I prefer Messi’s style of play.”. Logic for this untenable dribbler?

Only one match against Ronaldo

Hazard has bad memories against “La Pulga”, since Belgium was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup by Argentina (1-0) and Chelsea led by the Belgian could not cope. at Messi’s Barça in the round of 16 of the Champions League in 2018. The Blaugrana number 10 scored twice in a 3-0 victory in the return match.

The player trained at Losc only faced Ronaldo once: both players were then captains of their respective selections and Belgium eliminated Portugal 1-0 in the round of 16 of Euro 2020 (in June 2021) .
