Roy Hodgson suffered medical incident at Crystal Palace training ground in front of concerned players

Roy Hodgson suffered a medical incident at Crystal Palace's training ground, talkSPORT understands.

The Eagles boss was scheduled to speak to the media on Thursday afternoon however his media commitments were cancelled as a result of him being taken in.

The incident occurred during first team training in front of concerned players and coaches.

talkSPORT are awaiting an update on Hodgson's condition.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Crystal Palace wrote: Posting on social media, Crystal Palace wrote: "Unfortunately, today’s press conference will no longer take place as scheduled as Roy Hodgson was taken ill during this morning’s training session."

Hodgson is on the brink of the sack at Selhurst Park after a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday night.

Oliver Glasner has been lined up to replace him, talkSPORT understands, with talks taking place on Thursday.
