Former WWE Superstar Ryback is one of the most controversial names in pro wrestling right now, especially after his anti-WWE remarks over the years. He hasn’t stepped foot inside the squared circle for a long time and he has now revealed his in-ring return status.
Ryback has not competed in the ring all that much after his WWE firing, with many fans wanting him to retire from in-ring action permanently. Ryback’s last match took place in August 2018 during Northeast Wrestling’s Wrestling Under The Stars 7 Tour at Muzzy Field in Bristol, Connecticut, USA. In one of the highlighted bouts, Ryback secured a hard-fought victory over Dylan Bostic.
While speaking on a recent video on Twitter, Ryback discussed his potential return to the ring. While stem cell therapy has aided his back recovery, his shoulder still poses challenges due to remaining scar tissue and the absence of cartilage. Ryback noted he is not sure when he will return to professional wrestling.
”The one question I get all the time is ‘Ryback, when are you going back to WWE? When are you going back pro wrestling?’ The answer is that I don’t know. The reason I don’t know is in 2016, when I walked out on a multi-million dollar contract in WWE, I was told I needed a five-disc fusion and shoulder replacement at 34-years-old.”
Addressing questions about returning to WWE or pro wrestling, Ryback expressed uncertainty. He cited his departure from WWE in 2016, which was prompted by the recommendation of a five-disc fusion and shoulder replacement at 34 years old.
Stem cell treatments successfully regenerated his back discs, but his right shoulder, damaged by cortisone injections administered by WWE doctors, remains a significant concern.
”See, I was able to get stem cell treatments, and they were able to regrow all five discs in my back, so that is not an issue. My right shoulder, which I have no cartridge due to negligent WWE doctors injecting cortizone into it multiple times a year and lying to me, that has been a bigger issue.”
Rybakc even went as far as to say his WWE return would be the greatest in of all time. Fans will have to stay tuned to see if Ryback’s return to the squared circle ever materializes, as it still seems unlikely at this point in time.
