The Egypt international revealed what convinced him about new Liverpool manager Arne Slot.

Arne Slot has had an exceptional start to his term on the Liverpool bench. Indeed, if taking over from Jürgen Klopp did not seem like an easy task, the Dutch technician seems to defy all predictions. And what was shaping up to be a season of transition for the Reds now looks like the dawn of a period of total domination.

Currently, they are at the top of the Premier League with six points ahead of their runner-up Arsenal, and sit in the standings of the league phase of the Champions League, two lengths behind Barça, second. The Liverpool team also owes its great form to its number one weapon: Mohamed Salah. Present in all the good shots since the start of the season, the Egyptian striker is piling up the goals (26 matches, 20 goals, 17 assists). Something made possible, according to him, thanks to the tactical genius of Slot.

Salah not surprised by Slot

In an interview given to TNT Sportsthe 32-year-old right winger did not hide his pleasure in working with the former Feyenoord coach. Although he was far from imagining experiencing so much success so quickly under the leadership of the Batavian, Salah considers these results legitimate given the work carried out by the 46-year-old tactician.

“Before working with Arne Slot, I didn’t expect him to be this good… then we started working and I’m not surprised at all! He is excellent in details, excellent in small things, he has no ego when he makes a mistake… he is excellent in tactics”explained the Pharaohs star.
