Absent from the Top 30 of the 2024 Ballon d’Or, Mohamed Salah nevertheless voted for Vinicius Junior. He explained why.

For many, Mohamed Salah is a player whose value is not fully recognized. “Vinicius Junior is a very good player, that’s why. He improves year after year and I hope he can continue to do great things, for himself and for his country. I voted for him because he deserves it. »

Competitors in 2025?

In 2025, the Egyptian could be one of the Brazilian’s most serious opponents in this quest for the Ballon d’Or. For now, his best ranking is a fifth place which he reached twice, in 2019 and 2022. Since the start of the season, Mohamed Salah has been on fire with the Reds and investigates goal after goal. Twenty goals and seventeen assists in twenty-six matches, all competitions combined, an impressive performance.
