SANADA is set to start working on his return to the ring.
The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has been out of action since NJPW Road to Dontaku on April 26. There, he and Yuya Uemura beat Callum Newman and Great-O-Khan. He was then pulled from upcoming shows, as he underwent a medical evaluation.
NJPW has announced that SANADA is cleared, so he will start preparing to return to the ring soon.
The announcement, courtesy of NJPW’s website, is as follows:
“SANADA, who has been absent from matches since April 27 in Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall due to a health concern, has undergone evaluation at a Tokyo hospital and deemed medically cleared. SANADA will be working toward a return to the ring in the near future.”
Additional details are unclear at this time. WrestleZone will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
