Former AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya will have her contract for AEW come to its end this September. There’s no word if Saraya will re-sign with the company or if she will be a free agent. She did confirm this herself with TMZ.
“My contract is up with AEW in September, so I don’t know. Maybe I’ll stay with them, maybe not, I don’t know,” she said.
On if she would go back to WWE, she said, “Yeah, I love WWE. I appreciate everybody there. They made me. They gave me my career and I’m appreciative of that. One day, who knows. I love my time in AEW.”
Saraya hasn’t been in the ring since October. When asked on her return, she stated: “I don’t know. I’m ready to go now. It’s just trying the best way to introduce me again. I would love to go against Mercedes. I think it’s important. She ‘ended my career,’ in a way. It’s wrestling, it happens, but coming back it would be really great to face off with her.”
