Xavi’s decision to leave Barcelona at the end of the season did not surprise everyone. The manager was under a lot of stress owing to the team’s declining performance and their exit from Copa del Rey at the hands of Athletic Club was the final roll of the dice.

Now, while his decision to leave his boyhood club is still very recent, it has raised questions about his future decisions and those of his coaching staff and if a report from SPORT is to be believed, the 44-year-old is already being looked upon by a few Saudi Arabian side.

Xavi might be fatigued

Xavi’s accumulated experiences and sensations in recent months have certainly left a sense of fatigue, leading to speculation that he might opt for a break from the touchline —a sabbatical year or a few months—to reflect on his future more calmly.

Although nothing is set in motion, the allure of Qatar remains for Xavi, with open doors awaiting him at any time given his history in the country.

Meanwhile, his name is starting to echo in Saudi Arabia as well, where his admirable reputation and experience in Arab football are highly regarded.

While no official contact has been made with Xavi so far, there is a growing interest in the Spaniard from Saudi Arabia, and the possibility of a tempting offer in the future is not ruled out.

Currently, Xavi’s focus is on concluding the season on a high note and striving to secure a title, despite the challenging circumstances. Right now, despite exits from the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey, Barcelona are still in the UEFA Champions League and no hope is lost in La Liga as well.

The outcome of this journey will likely influence the trajectory of his coaching career, with the potential for new opportunities on the horizon.
