Sadio Mané and his new young wife, Aisha, will only go on their honeymoon after the latter’s school exams, in accordance with her parents’ wishes.

A report from Daily Mail revealed that the Al-Nassr star and his new bride will have to put their wedding celebrations on hold for the time being. Mané, who is currently competing with Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), was hoping to have his honeymoon after the tournament, but he may have to wait.

According to Mané’s best friend, Moussa Ndiaye, the parents of Aisha, who is still at school, want her to finish her final exams before the newlyweds leave on their trip. Ndiaye told the MailOnline:

“Sadio was hoping to have a honeymoon at some point, either after the final, if Senegal goes there, or before, if they are eliminated. But Aisha’s family wants her to stay focused on her studies. She has very important exams to take and she doesn’t want this marriage to stop her. Even though she is married to Sadio, the most famous man in Senegal, she remains a schoolgirl and must complete her studies. »
