Former German international Bastian Schweinsteiger believes he can guess what Xabi Alonso envisions for the rest of his career.

Former Bayern Munich captain Bastian Schweinsteiger is convinced that Xabi Alonso wants to coach Liverpool and not the Bavarian giants.

The Bayer Leverkusen coach has been linked with the Reds as Jurgen Klopp prepares to leave at the end of the season.

Schweinsteiger believes Xabi Alonso intends to succeed the German. He stated : “I know Xabi and I think Xabi has a chance of succeeding Klopp. I think his big dream is to coach Liverpool. I can imagine him going to Liverpool this summer.”

Xabi played for Liverpool between 2004 and 2009 and won the Champions League under Rafa Benitez in 2005.
