At almost 38 years old, Sergio Ramos plans to participate in Euro 2024. However, it has been almost three years since he was last selected for Spain.

Last Sunday, Sevilla FC beat Atlético de Madrid (1-0) on the 24th day of La Liga. A meeting attended by the coach of La Roja, Luis de la Fuente.

The 62-year-old technician was therefore able to observe the performance of Sergio Ramos, who is still a club starter at the age of 37 (Editor’s note, he will turn 38 on March 30). “I am happy that the coach is coming to see us”declared the former Paris Saint-Germain defender after the match.

Ramos wants to make Euro 2024

Sergio Ramos does not hide the fact that he would like to be selected for Euro 2024, which will be played in Germany from June 14. “As a Spaniard, the coach has a wide variety of players at his disposal. It will be very difficult for him, but those of us who are Spanish always work and play with the dream of going to the national team and it is the coach who will decide,” indicated the native of Camas.

Last November, Luis de la Fuente had already answered the question of a possible return of Sergio Ramos to the selection. “I have a list of players who give me guarantees and confidence”, he then underlined. As a reminder, Sergio Ramos won the European Nations Championship twice during his career, in 2008 and 2012.
