Seth Rogen Responds to James Franco Saying Their Friendship Is Over After 20 Years Together

Seth Rogen is opening up about where things stand with James Franco.

The 42-year-old filmmaker and comedian opened up to Esquire about the 46-year-old actor’s comments to Variety.

“No. I haven’t talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it’s over. And not for lack of trying. I’ve told him how much he’s meant to me,” James said at the time.

Back in 2021, Seth told The Sunday Times that he did not plan to work with James again after sexual misconduct allegations made against him.

When asked about James‘ comments, Seth said he didn’t want to discuss the topic: “Honestly, I absorb so little media that it really wasn’t on my radar.”

Esquire noted: “That is all he wants to say about that.”

The two began as co-stars on Freaks and Geeks before co-starring in Pineapple Express and This Is the End. Seth produced and starred in James’ 2017 directorial effort The Disaster Artist, which became their final project together.

James was accused of sexual misconduct in 2018 by several students at his former acting school, who claimed the actor had intimidated them into sexual situations. He denied the allegations, leading to a lawsuit that was then settled in February 2021.

James just boarded a star-studded new film.
