WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins shared some bad news on WWE RAW but delivered a passionate message.

Seth Rollins opened the January 22 episode of WWE RAW, and he emotionally recalled how he suffered an injury last week. Rollins noted that he felt his knee “go in” in a way that it was not supposed to. He stated that he finished the match, but he realized that he might be out for a long time. Rollins said that he thought it was a real possibility that he might miss WrestleMania.

The champion then explained that he had an an MRI, which revealed that he had a grade 2 MCL tear, and a partially torn meniscus. He stated that surgery would put him out for three or four months. Rollins said that if it was up to him, he would be back next week, but that was not the case. He stated that they were not sure what the future held, so they would be taking it week by week. WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther interrupted. He said they had been avoiding each other, and he wanted to speak his mind.

Gunther told Rollins that he had been a workhorse champion from the start. He highlighted the way Rollins had been a fighting champion, and he compared the two of them. Gunther admitted that Rollins potentially missing WrestleMania made him sad. Rollins responded by stating that he did not give a damn what the doctors said, or how hard he would have to push himself. Instead, he vowed to keep his promise and take his title into WrestleMania.

Gunther then vowed to win the Royal Rumble, and he said he would pick Seth Rollins as his opponent. “The Ring General” made it clear that he intended to take the title from Rollins, and they reminded each other to remember who they were talking about.
