We have some more information about Burt and Irving on Severance! A reader asked TVLine if there’s any information they received about the future of these two characters after the interesting dinner they shared with Burt’s husband, Fields. Keep reading to find out more… If you don’t know, Irving is played by John Turturro and Burt is played by Christopher Walken. In season one, their characters had chemistry, but when Burt retired, Irving took it quite hard. Their outies paths have crossed, and Burt ended up inviting Irv to dinner. While at the dinner, Fields let it slip that Burt had been working with Lumon for 20 years – and while alcohol was blamed for this tidbit…fans don’t buy it. In addition, while Irving was at the dinner, a Lumon employee was sifting through his home! This has led some to believe that the dinner was a set up. A fan asked the site’s TV guru Matt Webb Mitovich if there’s any info to share about their future in season two. Matt said, “Episode 6 wasn’t the last we’ll see of that particular office romance. Irving and Burt’s paths do cross again later in Season 2 outside of the confines of the Lumon office — but whether it’s as lovers or adversaries, we can’t reveal at this point.” If you didn’t see, the car question from Severance was recently explained!
