It doesn’t sound like John Cena will get an invite back to Club Shay-Shay anytime soon.
Cena shocked the world at WWE Elimination Chamber by turning on Cody Rhodes and aligning with The Rock. He (finally?) turned heel for the first time in nearly 20 years, a move that no one saw coming.
Cena’s actions continue to be the talk of the wrestling world, and it’s also getting plenty of attention in mainstream media. Shannon Sharpe addressed Cena finally becoming a bad guy on Monday’s episode of ESPN First Take and said that Cena should be ashamed of what he did.
Going one step further, Sharpe offered to team with Cody Rhodes against Cena and Travis Scott at SummerFest SummerSlam.
Shannon Sharpe calls John Cena and Travis Scott turncoats
“John Cena ought to be ashamed of himself,” Shannon Sharpe proclaimed. “He waited all this time to become a heel… Man, you know what? Cody, me and you against John Cena and Travis Scott. Let’s [make it happen at] Summerfest — SummerSlam, whatever they call it! John Cena, you need to pay for this, and me and Cody Rhodes are gonna make sure you do pay for it. We got something for your tricky you-know-what.”
Co-host Stephen A. Smith chimed in and noted that Sharpe has had both hips replaced. Sharpe said “John Cena is gonna have a replaced hip” after what he pulled on Cody, and Travis Scott should be ashamed, too.
