TKO executive Mark Shapiro comments on WWE‘s deal with Peacock, which will be coming up in 2026.
WWE previously signed a five-year deal with Peacock in 2021. As part of the agreement, WWE content and premium live events would stream on the service. WWE then reached a $5 billion deal with Netflix in January 2024. WWE RAW and other content moved to Netflix in January 2025. Triple H recently confirmed that the company’s deal with Peacock will expire in March 2026.
The word TKO chief operating officer Mark Shapiro used to describe the interest level between both WWE and NBCUniversal when it comes to renewing their Peacock deal was “keen.”
Shapiro spoke at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference on March 3rd, TKO Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro commented on WWE’s Peacock deal and stated that they would have discussions “in the next financial quarter” with NBCUniversal. He called them a “crazy good partner” and also said that WWE has been great for the service as well.
Furthermore, Shapiro said that NBCUniversal was “keen to renew”, and the feeling was mutual. That being said, he noted that “it might make sense to move elsewhere if the plan, not just the dollars, makes the best sense for the growth of our brand and the property.”

Shapiro also noted that WWE had a relatively small group of events, regarding their PLE schedule, so keeping it all in one place could make sense, but that would depend on supply and demand.
As for Netflix, Shapiro suggested that Netflix potentially owning everything WWE could make sense. Shapiro also highlighted WWE’s deal with Netflix and highlighted the success of the viewership early on, as RAW had seen a 13% increase year to date compared to their numbers on USA Network.
