Aston Villa crashed to defeat against Tottenham recently and Leon Bailey produced an ineffective performance for his side.
Sky Sports commentator Don Goodman has now slammed the Jamaican international for his poor performance in a vital game.
He said: “Unai Emery changed formation and used three central defenders at Villa Park for the first time this season.
“It didn’t look like the shape suited the players. Leon Bailey looked lost, almost disinterested. He was very ineffective. That’s not me picking on him, but I’m singling him out because it was a really poor performance.”
Bailey has done well for Aston Villa this season and he will be disappointed with his performance against Tottenham Hotspur as well. It was a crucial game in the race for the top-four finish.
Aston Villa remained in fourth place despite the 4-0 defeat against Tottenham, thanks to Fulham winning over the north London club yesterday.

Aston Villa will look to bounce back strongly from the defeat against Tottenham and finish the season on a high now. They are well placed to secure Champions League qualification, and it remains to be seen whether Unai Emery can guide them to the Premier European competition by the end of the season.
As for Bailey, he will look to make amends in the coming weeks. The 26-year-old winger has 12 goals and 11 assists across all competitions and there is no doubt that he has been a key player for Aston Villa.
