‘SNL’: Sydney Sweeney Flirts With Golden Retriever In ‘Air Bud’-Inspired Sketch

Sydney Sweeney paid homage to her birth year with a Saturday Night Live sketch inspired by an iconic Disney movie.

In the sketch, Sweeney plays a high school cheerleader who has just returned from vacation to the news that there’s a new star basketball player.

Little does she know (or care), the latest addition to the team is none other than Air Bud himself. Yes, the Golden Retriever.

She pushes her friends aside and heads to the basketball team’s table in the cafeteria, ready to make a move.

“You’re so hairy. Are you Italian?” she says, met with a blank stare from the pup. A few seconds later, she sensually adds: “Someone is hungry. You’re eating so fast and just with your mouth.”

As she continues to chat with Bud, several of the other players point out that he is, in fact, a dog. But Sweeney’s character isn’t hearing it.

“Whatever Tyler. You had your shot with me, and you blew it. I gave you a chance to change and you refused,” she retorts. Turns out, he wasn’t tall enough. He could have been, if he really tried, she insists.
