Heparin, also known as “blood thinner,” is a medication that helps to prevent blood clots, a common cause for people who’ve suffered from a stroke.
“They took me off heaprin [sic] tonight (blood thinner) & most likely can go home tomorrow,” she captioned her Instagram Story post along with a fingers crossed and a teary-eyed emoji.
After a round of UNO, Broadus revealed she’d be taking another CT scan in order to find out what caused her to suffer from a stroke to begin with.
“Getting a CT scan of my chest to see exactly what caused my stroke,” she wrote in her next Story post. Broadus has yet to disclose the results of the assessment.
But on Wednesday (January 24), the ‘Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood’ star shared that her test results came back “normal.” Consequently, doctors were happy to have her discharged from the hospital.
“My ct scan of my chest came back normal and I’m going home today I can prolly cry omgggg,” she wrote. “Thank you thank you for the continuous prayers, love etc.’
Snoop Dogg Speaks On Daughter’s Stroke
Snoop also shared his thoughts on his daughter’s health crisis by stating that the incident has indeed shifted his perspective on life.
The rapper was in attendance at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film, ‘The Underdoggs,’ on Tuesday (January 23).
However, the excitement of discussing the film was understandably overshadowed by a concerning update about his only daughter.
“She’s doing a little bit better,” Snoop Dogg told PEOPLE, providing hope amid a difficult start to the new year.
When asked if her condition has shifted his outlook on life, the ‘Gin and Juice’ artist responded, “Yeah, yeah. Something like that.”
Broadus was diagnosed with lupus at the young age of 6, per Rolling Stone. One can only imagine the journey she and her family have been on regarding her health throughout the years.
The situation has been an alarm bell, seemingly reminding Snoop and his family of the fragility of life.
However, with Cori set to leave the hospital, let’s hope and pray this situation never happens again.
