WWE’s NXT brand and TNA Wrestling have developed quite an interesting working relationship, with talent from both companies making surprise appearances. During this week’s special episode of NXT, Jordynne Grace made waves by showing up to put her TNA Knockouts Title on the line.

Grace previously made a surprise appearance on the May 28 episode of WWE NXT, where she was revealed as the challenger for Roxanne Perez’s NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Battleground. Despite her strong performance, Grace was unable to capture the title due to interference from Tatum Paxley and Ash by Elegance.

Her journey in TNA Wrestling has been filled with intense challenges, often from NXT talent. At Against All Odds, Grace issued an open challenge for the TNA Knockouts World Championship, leading to a shocking debut from Paxley in TNA, who accepted the challenge. Grace ultimately retained her title after defeating Paxley. On July 20 at Slammiversary, Grace continued her dominant run by successfully defending her title against Ash by Elegance. Wherever she competes, Grace feels the support from her fans, and this week’s episode of NXT was no exception.

The anticipation built throughout the night as the women’s locker room buzzed over who would step up to face Jordynne Grace in her open challenge. When the time came, it was Sol Ruca who accepted, bringing a smile to the Knockouts Champion’s face.

Sol Ruca vs. Jordynne Grace was a match many fans considered a “dream match,” and it came to life on NXT this week. As the match kicked off, dueling chants of “NXT” and “TNA” echoed throughout the arena, adding to the electric atmosphere.

The match was evenly contested in the early stages as both competitors felt each other out. During the commercial break, Ruca and Grace continued to trade moves, with Ruca reversing and countering everything Grace threw her way.

Grace eventually gained the upper hand with a backhanded shot and a splash for a near fall. Ruca attempted to turn things around with an SOS, but just as the momentum shifted, the lights cut out in the arena. When they returned, Rosemary was standing face-to-face with Grace, and Wendy Choo suddenly attacked Grace from behind with a chokehold, causing a disqualification.

The ending of the match left fans wanting more, as it felt anticlimactic for such a high-profile showdown. Only time will tell when Jordynne Grace will get another big match in NXT, as it’s clear her story is far from over.
