The wedding day is finally here for Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal who are all set to become husband and wife today. After dating for over 7 years, the couple is all set to exchange marital vows. Ahead of wedding, Sonakshi and Zaheer were spotted in the city. Not only this, we also witnessed a glimpse of Rishtedaars (relatives) arriving and had a look at bride’s outfit.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal spotted ahead of wedding
Sonakshi Sinha was spotted for the first time on her wedding day. In the video, Sonakshi was seen speaking with a family member. The bride wore a white short kurta which she styled with a pair of denim pants. She was also seen carrying a handbag. The actress was all smiles and her bridal glow spoke volume of her happiness. After bride, to-be-groom Zaheer Iqbal was also spotted in the city. He waved at the paparazzi and smiled at them. Zaheer was spotted wearing green and blue checks shirt with bottoms. He also sported cool shades to complete the look.
Poonam Sinha leaves for the wedding venue
Poonam Sinha, the mother of the bride-to-be was seen stepping out of her Ramayana residence and heading for Sonakshi’s registered marriage. It is being held at Zaheer’s residence on Carter Road.
About Sonakshi-Zaheer wedding
According to a Free Press Journal report, Sonakshi and Zaheer Iqbal’s marriage will be conducted under the Special Marriage Act. The ceremony will be held at Zaheer’s residence. After this, the bride and groom will throw a reception party for close friends and family members at Bastian – At the Top in Lower Parel. The theme of the wedding is reported to be white and ivory outfit. Earlier today, we also saw a glimpse of the Heeramandi actress’ outfit as it arrived at her residence.
Talking about rituals so far, the wedding celebrations officially kicked off earlier this week with a get-together of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s families on Thursday. It was followed by a mehendi ceremony on Friday night. Last night, a Puja was hosted at Shatrughan Sinha’s Mumbai residence Ramayana. The bride-to-be looked radiant in a blue festive outfit. Sonakshi’s bestfriend and her Double XL co-star Huma Qureshi also attended the festivities.
A few days back rumours about Sonakshi’s family being unhappy with inter-faith marriage surfaced which was later put to rest by Shatrughan Sinha. Even Iqbal’s father confirmed Sonakshi won’t be forced to convert to Islam post-marriage.
