Benson Boone is kicking off his new musical era with the release of his new single “Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else.” The 22-year-old singer, who dropped out of American Idol several years ago, was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys this year and had one of the top songs of 2024 with “Beautiful Things.” Benson is seemingly singing about still being in love with an ex on his new track. “I’m sorry I’m here for someone else / It’s good to see your face / And I really hope you’re doing well,” Benson sings on the chorus. By the end of the song he’s realizing his love for that person and sings, “You were always the one I shoulda waited for / I can’t lose you again, not again, not again, not again.” Head inside to listen to the song and read the full lyrics… Watch the lyric video below.
