Robbie Eagles sizes up his upcoming opponents.
In April 2024, Robbie Eagles defeated The Tuckman to claim the Soul of PWA Championship. Since then, he’s successfully defended it against the likes of Koda Hernandez, Jackson Drake, and most recently, Lena Kross. On December 28, Eagles faces his next challenge in the form of Jack Bonza and Paris De Silva at PWA Mounties Mania.
WrestleZone’s Ella Jay caught up with Eagles ahead of his title defense, which De Silva views an opportunity to show that he is the true heart and soul of Pro-Wrestling Australia. Furthermore, De Silva vows to make Mounties Mania his Wrestle Kingdom. According to Eagles, though, De Silva, a former PWA Tag Team Champion, first has to prove himself as a singles competitor.
“I don’t argue that Paris is the heart of PWA,” Eagles said. “In my younger formative years with the company, people used to refer to me as the glue that held PWA together behind the scenes and in the ring. And I think as I’ve gone on and built this kind of legacy, and now I hold the Soul of PWA, and I claim to be that, I think it’s arguable that Spartan Spirit and the VeloCities as a whole, are the new heart of the current generation of PWA that’s at the forefront for that company. So I’m not denying his claim there, but him wanting to prove that by taking my championship, that’s a whole other thing.
“This ain’t a tag team match. Paris,” Eagles continued. “You still got a lot to prove in singles action. Bold claim. I want to see what happens, though. And making his Mounties Mania his Wrestle Kingdom, big call.”

Robbie Eagles Gets Candid About Jack Bonza
When it comes to Jack Bonza, Eagles maintains a dose of respect for his fellow in-ring veteran, whom he cites as a “versatile” performer. Overall, though, Eagles and Bonza are far from fans of one another.
“When it comes down to it, we don’t like each other,” Eagles said. “We tend to hit each other pretty hard. It’s either knockout or tap out between the two of us, generally speaking, because we like to think pinning one another, that’s kind of the easy way out, right? [It is] most commonly how pro wrestling matches end. But we both think we’re pretty good at the craft of technical wrestling, so getting that submission win, that’s the icing on the cake. And then if we can’t get that, then we’re like, okay, well, you’re pissing me off now, so I’m just going to leave you laying and looking at the lights and walk away.”
