An update on Vince McMahon‘s latest lawsuit.

As previously noted, The Wall Street Journal published an article on January 25 to reveal that former WWE employee Janel Grant has filed a lawsuit against McMahon and WWE for alleged sex trafficking. McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and Brock Lesnar were all named in the article that featured graphic details of horrific events before a non-disclosure agreement was signed in 2022.

In an update, Deadline heard from McMahon’s spokesperson who shared that the former WWE Chairman is denying the allegations.

“This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself,” said the spokesperson.

A TKO spokesperson also stated on Thursday, “Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. While this matter pre-dates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.”

It remains to be seen if McMahon will maintain his Executive Chairman role with TKO, one that became official when WWE and UFC were merged under Endeavor in September.
