NJPW and STARDOM are back with their second annual co-promoted show with Historic X-Over II on Sunday, November 17.
A promotional video package for Historic X-Over II aired during the recent STARDOM Nagoya Golden Fight pay-per-view. Per the video package, Zack Sabre Jr. and Maika will partner up for a mixed tag match at the upcoming event. Zack and Maika are the respective winners of the G1 Climax and 5 Star Grand Prix tournaments this year. Their team will compete against the duo of Starlight Kid and a returning El Desperado.
This will be El Desperado’s first match since NJPW Road to Destruction back in September. However, this is not his first time teaming up with Starlight Kid. The two competed alongside each other at the first Historic X-Over in an eight-person tag with Momo Watanabe and DOUKI. On the other hand, Zack Sabre Jr. pairs up with Maika for the first time. Last year’s Historic X-Over show saw Zack team up with then STARDOM wrestler Giulia.
As of the time of writing, Zack Sabre Jr. & Maika vs. El Desperado & Starlight Kid is the first and only match confirmed for the card. Great-O-Khan issued an open challenge to anyone in STARDOM to face him for his King of Pro Wrestling title, but his opponent has not been confirmed.
